COLLEGE AUDITION LAUNCHPAD NOVA

Sunday, March 1st, 2026. 9:00am - 5:30pm - at the Metropolitan School of the Arts in Alexandria

Join us in person in Northern Virginia to jumpstart your college audition process. Featuring faculty from four Virginia-based college Musical Theatre programs, this intensive day will help you build your skills, practice auditioning, and learn more about these programs and the college audition process. Available to, and suitable for, any high school-aged students interested in learning more about the college audition process and building their skill set from top-notch educators!

Expected faculty for the day:

  • Kevin Covert - head of Musical Theatre at Shenandoah
  • Joshua Denning - head of Musical Theatre at VCU
  • Kate Lumpkin and Javier Padilla - professors of Musical Theatre at JMU
  • Erin Gardiner - professor of Musical Theatre at George Mason University

 

PARTICIPATION FEE INCLUDES:

  • Song Performance Master Class
  • Monologue Performance Master Class
  • Dance Master Class 
  • Mock Song/Monologue Audition
  • Two Parent-Ed Seminars
  • Dedicated Parent and Student Q&A time

Students and parents are also encouraged to attend the Saturday, Feb 28th evening performance (7:30 PM) of Catch Me If You Can at Shenandoah - 2 tickets included in your registration - and a student talkback after the performance. Transportation to/from Shenandoah is not provided, but we will provide tickets and arrange the talkback for attending families.

 

Early bird pricing (until Feb 15) is $450. From Feb 16, price is $500. 

 

Enrollment is limited, and registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. You will get an email before the class with more details and any last-minute updates.
